How far is the airport from the centre of Baku?
Baku Airport is around 13 miles (21 kilometres) from the centre of the city. Pre-book a transfer with Etihad before you fly and your driver will be waiting for you when you land for a stress-free onward journey.
Alternatively, bus and taxi services are also available at the airport to take you to central Baku.
What is the weather like in Baku?
Baku enjoys a warm climate. During summer, from June to September, you can see average highs of more than 30°C. Spring, which runs from March to May, is also warm and dry.
Travelling between December and February means cooler temperatures and less visitors. Celebrate New Year in the city, or head out to one of the ski resorts for some time in the snow.

Visit the stunning Heydar Mosque, the grand Bibi-Heybat Mosque, and head to Upland Park, where you’ll find the Turkish Mosque and stunning views across the city. It’s important to dress respectfully when you visit any of these venues – wear clothing that covers your head, shoulders, arms and legs.
