Located in the Downtown district, the remains of Amman’s Roman Amphitheatre are a must-see for any visitor.
The 6,000-seat venue dates back to when Amman was known as Philadelphia, in the 2nd century. Today, the theatre still plays host to events and festivals, including the International Book Fair and Al-Balad Music Festival.

The Jordan Museum in Amman presents the history of the nation and includes the remains from the archaeological city of Petra. It’s a wonderful place to visit and become properly acquainted with the culture of Jordan.
