Koh Samui enjoys a tropical climate, with hot weather throughout the year – averaging 29°C from April to August, when rainfall is also relatively low. Rainy season is at its height in October and November.

Currency
Koh Samui uses the official currency of Thailand, the Thai baht (TBH). Exchange your money before flying to Koh Samui, at the airport or one of the local banks.
Many on the island are open Monday to Saturday, with some also opening on Sundays.
Airport transfers

Cultural considerations

Thai New Year, Songkran, is generally celebrated from April 13 to 15. Locals travel home to be with their families and you’ll find some businesses close over the duration.
