Airport transfers
Ho Chi Minh City flights land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN), which is located just five miles (eight kilometres) from the city. Book an Etihad transfer or grab a taxi – each option takes about 30 minutes. Ensure you go with an official licensed taxi operator and agree a fee beforehand.
Language
Vietnamese is the official language of Vietnam. Some locals may understand basic English words, but learning a few words after buying your Ho Chi Minh tickets will come in handy. Plus, it’s guaranteed to bring a smile to the locals. ‘Thank you’ is pronounced ‘gahm-un’ phonetically.
Getting around
