What is the currency in Abu Dhabi?
The currency across all of the UAE is the UAE dirham (AED). You can purchase currency before you arrive, but you’ll also be able to get dirhams in Abu Dhabi at licenced exchanges, banks and in many hotels.
Credit and debit cards are accepted in most shops and restaurants, although you’ll need cash if you plan on visiting a souk.
What is the weather like in Abu Dhabi?
Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate and is far drier than Colombo’s tropical weather. Expect to see sunshine and warm days whenever you arrive. June to September are the hottest months when temperatures regularly exceed 40°C.
