To be eligible to win, you must be over 21 years and a resident of the UAE or Saudi Arabia, or over 18 years old and a resident of Germany or the UK. Make sure that your location is added to your Twitter profile.
The only way to enter is via Twitter and you will be entered automatically when you tweet using #EtihadFreeFlights. Entry is limited to one per person, even if you tweet multiple times.
You must tweet during the following times, depending on your location:
UK: Between 7pm until 11pm 11 July
Germany: Between 8pm 11 July until 12am 12July
Saudi Arabia: Between 9pm 11 July until 1am 12July
UAE: Between 10pm 11 July until 2am 12July
The competition is not officially registered as a game of chance in all countries. We have officially registered this competition in markets where we are advertising this competition. These are Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the UK.

A travel advert is any TV commercial or pitch side display promoting any another travel brand. That could be an airline, hotel, car hire, booking platform or Tour Operator / Holiday Package operator.
1. The #EtihadFreeFlights prize draw (the "Prize Draw") is open to residents of the following countries: UK, Germany, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Entrants in UK and DE must be 18 or over. Entrants in KSA and UAE must be 21 or over. People who are resident outside of these jurisdictions are not permitted to enter the Prize Draw and entries from such residents will not be considered eligible for the purpose of awarding prizes.
2. Subject to paragraph 3 below, these terms and conditions apply to all entrants. Entrants into the Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3. Residents of Germany and the United Arab Emirates agree to these Terms and Conditions, subject to the variations and amendments which are set out in Annex 1 (Germany) and Annex 2 (UAE) of these Terms and Conditions, which apply in respect of each of those jurisdictions. Residents of these jurisdictions agree to the Terms and Conditions as amended by the annex which applies in their jurisdiction.
4. The Prize Draw is not open to employees of Etihad Airways P.J.S.C. ("Etihad" or the “Promoter”) or its group companies, family members of those employees, or anyone else who is connected to the Prize Draw.
5. To enter the Prize Draw you must:
a. Ensure your location is visible from your Twitter profile (to add your location to your Twitter profile please follow the instructions shown here: https://help.twitter.com/en/managing-your-account/how-to-customize-your-profile); and
b. Send a Tweet (during the timeframe described in paragraph 7 below) which meets all of the following criteria:
i. tags at least one other Twitter account (such as a friend you would love
to fly with); and
ii. includes the hashtag #EtihadFreeFlights
6. Tweets which do not meet the criteria in Paragraph 5 will not be eligible.
7. The Prize Draw opens at 19:00 British Summer Time (20:00 Central European Summer Time and 22:00 Gulf Standard Time) on 11 July 2021. It closes at 23:00 British Summer Time on 11 July (which is 00:00 Central European Summer Time / 02:00 Gulf Standard Time on 12 July 2021). Entries received outside this time period will not be considered.
8. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry is permitted per person. Please do not attempt to enter multiple times from the same account, or from multiple accounts which you control. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. You are responsible for the cost (if any) of sending your Prize Draw entry to us. The winners shall be the owners of the Twitter accounts from which the selected winning entries are sent.

10. Etihad accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Etihad.
11. Each winner will receive an electronic voucher which entitles the bearer to book up to sixteen (16) return, Economy class, tickets on flights which take place within the Etihad Airways network (the “Prize”). The Prize is strictly subject to the following terms:
a. In order to receive the Prize, the winner will be required to provide a copy of their passport or other official document confirming their residency of either the UK, Germany, the United Arab Emirates or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
b. The Prize is only valid in respect of flights which take place between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2025.
c. A maximum of four return flights booked using the Prize can occur in each 12 month period for which the Prize is valid.
d. Each 12 month period begins on the anniversary of the voucher’s start date, namely 1 September.
e. For the avoidance of doubt, it is the date of the flight which must fall within the 12 month period, and the validity period of the Prize. The booking may take place prior to the start of the relevant period.
f. Flights are only eligible if they are within the Etihad network and are directly operated by Etihad (not one of our code-sharing partners) and if they can be completed without a stopover of any kind.
g. Flights are subject to availability.
h. The winner’s ticket includes an entitlement to the baggage allowance which is included with the Economy class tickets on each flight they book using the Prize.
i. Etihad reserves the right to withdraw flights from its network at any time.
j. The winner may use some of their flight entitlement in order to book ticket(s) for a person other than themselves provided that the winner is also booked and travels on the same flight as their companion(s).
k. The Prize and all bookings made pursuant to that voucher are subject to Etihad’s General Conditions of Carriage, as they apply from time to time and in the jurisdiction in which the winner is resident. Etihad’s General Conditions of Carriage at the date of these Terms and Conditions is available at: https://www.etihad.com/en/legal/conditions-of-carriage.
12. Only one winner is permitted per household. Etihad accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with making use of the Prize that are not expressly included in the Prize. Winners (and any travel companions) must ensure that they hold all necessary travel documentation before they travel on any flight which is booked.
13. There will be sixteen (16) winners in total. The number of winners in each country is limited as follows:
a. UK – 4 winners.
b. Germany – 4 winners.
c. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – 4 winners.
d. United Arab Emirates – 4 winners.
In the event that fewer than 4 valid entries are received from any of the above jurisdictions, then the remaining prizes from that jurisdiction will be allocated at random to a valid entrant(s) from another jurisdiction.
14. The winners will be selected by way of a random draw, using a computer process that produces verifiably random results, from all entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will take place on or after 15 July 2021.
15. The winners will be notified by direct message on Twitter, on or after 20 July 2021 and given details of how to claim their prize. Please follow @Etihad on Twitter or otherwise ensure your settings allow you to receive direct messages from the @Etihad Twitter account. Winners will be asked to confirm their country of residence, and will not be entitled to the Prize unless they can provide a copy of their passport or other official document which confirms that they are resident in either the UK, Germany, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates.
16. If a winner does not respond to Etihad within 14 days of being notified of their win, and provide documentation which shows their eligibility to enter this Prize Draw, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Etihad shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win, and provide documentation confirming their eligibility, within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Etihad shall be entitled to select another winner.
17. Provided that a winner responds to direct messages from the Promoter and promptly provides proof of their country of residence, their Prize will be sent via Direct Message on Twitter on or after 5 August 2021.
18. Winners details can be obtained after 5 August 2021, by emailing marketingsupport@etihad.ae with “Winners’ details - #EtihadFreeFlights prize draw” as the subject line, subject to the restrictions below:
a) UK winners: The surname and county of residence.
b) German winners: The first name and abbreviated last name and country of residence.
c) UAE and KSA winners: The name and region of residence (subject to Etihad being granted permission to disclose this information, by those individuals).
19. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize.
20. Etihad reserves the right, taking reasonable consideration of the participants’ interests, to substitute the Prize with an alternative prize of similar value in the event that the original prize offered is not available.
21. The Promoter shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://www.etihad.com/en/legal/privacy-policy, and in accordance with all data protection legislation which applies in the jurisdiction in which eligible entrants are resident. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Prize Draw entry. Etihad intends to make available the details of the winners as outlined in paragraph 18 above. If you do not wish your personal information to be made available for this purpose then please notify us by no later than midday on 12 July 2021 by sending an email to marketingsupport@etihad.ae with “#EtihadFreeFlights prize draw” in the subject line. Entrants from UAE and KSA will be contacted before any personal information is disclosed for this purpose.
22. Etihad accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the Prize. Etihad further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Prize Draw. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Etihad under law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence
23. Etihad reserves the right, taking into consideration participants’ reasonable interests, at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Etihad in all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
24. Etihad shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Prize Draw where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
25. The Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Country-specific Terms and Conditions for participants from Germany and United Arab Emirates
Annex 1 – Residents of Germany agree as follows:
A. Notwithstanding paragraph 2, participants need to agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in order to participate in the Prize Draw, which apply subject to the following paragraph 3.
B. Notwithstanding paragraph 21, the use and processing of any personal information you supply is subject to applicable data protection law and the Promoter’s privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://www.etihad.com/en-gb/legal/privacy-policy.
C. Notwithstanding paragraph 22, the Promoter is liable in accordance with the statutory provisions if damage is caused by an intentional or gross negligent breach of duty by Promoter or one of its legal representatives or agents. Promoter is also liable without restrictions for damages from injury to life, body or health, for features which are a contractually guaranteed condition. Promoter is liable for slight negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations. Essential obligations are (i) such the breach of which is putting at risk the achievement of the contractual purpose, (ii) only enable performance or fulfillment of the contract and are regularly relied upon by the other party. In this case, Promoter is only liable for the typically foreseeable damages. Promoter is not liable for slight negligent breaches of any other obligations than those mentioned in the previous sentences. To the extent the Promoter’s liability is excluded or limited, such exclusion or limitation also applies to its employees, legal representatives or agents.
D. Notwithstanding paragraph 25, the Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of Germany.
Annex 2 – Residents of the United Arab Emirates agree as follows:
A. Your entry into the Prize Draw will constitute your express consent to these Terms and Conditions.
B. In order to receive a Prize, winners will be required to provide a copy of their passport and UAE residency visa (if not a UAE national or citizen).
C. These Terms and Conditions have been prepared in the English language and Arabic language. In the event of any inconsistency or different interpretation between the English text and Arabic text, the Arabic text shall prevail and the relevant English text shall be deemed to be automatically amended to conform with and to make the relevant English text consistent with the relevant Arabic text. Each party acknowledges that it has read these Terms and Conditions and understands its content and that these Terms and Conditions have been entered into freely and without duress. You acknowledge that you fully understand the language and the content of these Terms and Conditions.
