Summer in Switzerland falls between May and August, while September and October are also relatively clear and pleasant. December to February sees temperatures plunge, but if you’re travelling to Switzerland to ski this is an ideal time to go.

Located in the north of the country, Zurich Airport (ZRH) is the largest airport in Switzerland. It has excellent transport links to the surrounding areas and is located just six miles from the centre of the city – hop on a train and you’ll arrive in around 15 minutes.

Geneva Airport (GVA)

Fittingly, Geneva Airport (GVA) is the country’s second-largest airport, serving the country’s second-largest city. Geneva Airport railway station provides easy, affordable transport into the city and the journey takes less than 10 minutes. A bus service also operates from the airport and will have you in downtown Geneva within 30 minutes.
