Discover dynamic Perth

Perth holidays transport you to a city where glorious sunshine provides the perfect setting for a blend of blissful beaches, sprawling parks and vibrant urban life.

The coastal capital of Western Australia is a dream destination, thanks in part to the white sands and crystal-clear waters of spots such as Cottesloe and Mettams Pool. It’s a city that feels tucked away, and yet you’re still in the thick of things.

The heart of Perth buzzes with energy – this is a city that’s justifiably proud of the galleries, boutiques and other hangouts to be found in the likes of Northbridge, Mount Lawley and Brookfield Place. For historic landmarks, seek out St George’s Cathedral and the Jubilee Building.

Natural wonders also abound, including the Swan River and Heirisson Island, home to kangaroos and beautiful birds. See it all when you book a holiday to Perth with Etihad.

There’s a real sense of togetherness in places such as Northbridge, where fun and free events are regularly held in public squares.

The pace of life is also a little more relaxed than in some of Australia’s other major cities. Dates such as January’s Australia Day are celebrated in style, with spectacular firework displays filling the skies.

The city sits in one part of the ancient homelands of the Whadjuk Noongar people, whose story can be traced back tens of thousands of years.

Head out on a two-hour drive north from Perth and you’ll discover the Nambung National Park and its Pinnacles Desert. The desert is home to thousands of striking limestone rock pillars, with an information centre to help you get the lowdown on the ecological development of Western Australia.

Why we love Perth

“Perth is the perfect spot for a holiday. It’s got plenty of history but there’s a decidedly cosmopolitan vibe as well. Northbridge is great for fun-filled days and nights – Yagan Square and Russell Square are always buzzing with excitement.”
