If you give us a call, here are some of the things we can help with:

Please contact the travel agent or third party website directly. If you have a partially used ticket, please call our Contact Centre to change your flight. A Service Fee may apply. To check in, reserve your seat or make any special requests, simply visit Manage your booking.

Please get in touch with our Contact Centre to update the name on your reservation. If you booked with a travel agent or third party and your ticket has been issued, please contact them to make any changes. Name corrections are not possible on bookings where tickets have not yet been issued.

Title amendments and name corrections due to genuine typing errors (up to three characters) are accepted free of charge. All other name corrections listed below will incur a fee of US $100 or AU $150 if you purchased your ticket in Australia.

1. Maiden name to married name (or vice versa)

Example: JOHN/MARY MS TO JACK/MARY MRS

2. Shortened/nick name to full name

Example: ALSHAMSI/MOHD MR to ALSHAMSI/MOHAMMED MR

3. Addition of middle name

Example: BROWN/JOHN MR to BROWN/JOHN PAUL MR

4. Addition of surname

Example: PAUL/JOHN MR to BROWN/JOHN PAUL MR

5. Complete/partial name change for the same guest with proof from authorities (e.g. Deed Poll)

Example: GEORGE/PAUL MR to DANIEL/JACK MR

Things to think about before you make any changes:

- Only one change is permitted

- The request must be for the same guest on the ticket

- If your booking involves any other airline, the current booking will have to be cancelled and a new booking will have to be made with the correct name in the available booking class. Fare difference may apply.

- You must submit a copy of your passport and other applicable documents

If you’ve made changes to your booking, please call us or visit an office near you to confirm additional services or requests, including wheelchairs, bassinets and special meals, seats, excess baggage and children flying alone.

To change your booking, please contact our Global Contact Centre or visit an office near you. Global Service Fees apply. You will also need to contact Travel Guard to update your insurance.

If you booked your flight at least seven days in advance, you’ll receive a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of purchasing the ticket. To request a refund, please contact our Contact Centre or visit an office near you.

If you missed your flight and purchased your ticket in Italy (via a ticket office, call centre, travel agent, or etihad.com/it), contact us within 24 hours of the flight departure time if you plan to use the next or return flight. We’ll hold your remaining flights without extra payment or fees if the next departure is more than 12 hours after the missed flight. If the next flight departs within 24 hours, contact us at least two hours before departure, and we’ll reissue your ticket without extra payment or fare adjustment.

If you don’t contact us, all remaining flights will be cancelled. If you travel without contacting us, you’ll be charged the fare difference.

When you make changes to your Economy booking, a flat, non-refundable Service Fee of USD 30 applies to each segment of your journey 

- There is no Service Fee for Business or First bookings 

- Refunds are subject to fees and the rules of the fare you booked for each segment 

- Some airport or government taxes are refundable 

- If you’ve already changed your ticket, the fare rules of the originally purchased ticket apply 

- Fees will be waived in the unfortunate event of death of a passenger or immediate family member, subject to you providing official documentation 

- A Guest Service Fee will apply to any changes or refunds made through the Etihad Contact Centre 

- Date changes and cancellation policies vary by route and are shown at the time of booking 

- If you’ve booked a GuestSeats, you may be charged the fare difference in Etihad Guest Miles 

- If you’ve booked a GuestSeat, you may be charged the fare difference in Etihad Guest Miles

  •   Depending on the route and fare that you’ve booked, a fee may apply to change or cancel your flight:
  • A flat, non-refundable Service Fee of USD 30 will apply for changes or refunds to Economy bookings. This fee also applies to children’s and infant’s tickets in Economy
  • There is no Service Fee for Business or First bookings
  • The most restrictive fare rule will apply if you have booked multiple fares
  • If you need to cancel your booking, your refund will be subject to the fare rules of your original ticket
  • Changes or cancellations within 96 hours of your flight will incur an additional 10% fee
  • You will not be charged a change or refund fee in the unfortunate event of the death of a guest or an immediate family member (official documentation is required)
  • If you miss your flight, you will be charged a no show and change fee. Make sure to let us know as soon as you can if you are going to miss your flight. If you don’t, your return or onward flight may be cancelled.

*You can only change your flight details at etihad.com if at least one flight on your itinerary is operated by Etihad. If your ticket number does not start with 607, you must contact the issuing airline or your travel agency.

****You can only upgrade with miles on Etihad operated flights.
