Exclusive GuestSeats are reserved for members on flights throughout the year, across the Etihad Airways network and on our partner airlines. GuestSeats offer the best value with fixed, reduced fares. You can search for a GuestSeat by the number of miles you’d like to spend, or by where you’d like to fly to.
With OpenSeats, you have the flexibility to book flights with Etihad Airways or any of our partner airlines, such as Air New Zealand, American Airlines, or Virgin Australia. The number of miles you need to book an OpenSeat reflects the standard market price.
You can now redeem your miles to fly in the world's only three-room suite in the sky. This unique, experience is available to all members. If you're a Gold Tier member or above, you can enjoy a special member rate with flights available from 300,000 miles.

OpenSeats allow you to use your miles, or miles plus cash, to book flights with Etihad Airways or partner airlines at the standard market price.
With our miles calculator you can either search for a GuestSeat ‘by miles’ (the number of miles you’d like to spend) or ‘by destination’ (where you’d like to fly to.) If you’re searching ‘by miles’, simply enter the number of miles you’d like to spend and where you’d like to fly from, and we’ll show you all the destinations you can reach using your miles.
You can book a GuestSeat using a minimum of 50% of the required miles displayed for your fare.

To book this exquisite experience, simply select your tickets in First for up to two guests on an A380 operated flight. Remember to choose ‘Pay with miles.’ Then choose the GuestSeat option and log in to your Etihad Guest account. Next, tap ‘Extras’ and choose The Residence from the seat selection option. The price will be shown in local currency, but at check out, the value is converted to miles. Taxes and fees will still be charged in local currency.
