Widely regarded as one of the most famous landmarks in Minsk, the National Library makes for a truly remarkable sight.

On the outside, it resembles a giant diamond, raised above the ground on a giant plinth. On the inside, this impressive building contains more than 20 reading rooms, which can fit thousands of eager researchers and knowledge-seekers. It would certainly take you a long time to take in all it has to offer: the archives are believed to store an incredible eight million books.
