Check that your passport is valid for at least six months and arrange your visa and other required travel documents well in advance.

Make sure you’re covered with travel insurance for your trip. Arrange before you go and keep the policy documents with you when you travel.

Need a visa to fly to Abu Dhabi?

Whether you’re visiting Abu Dhabi for a few days or just transiting through, the first thing to do is to check whether you’re eligible for a visa on arrival. If you’re not, you’ll need to apply before you fly. 

Plan ahead

Tourist and transit visas take around four business days to be processed, so always apply well in advance of your flight. Fees are non-refundable.

Frequently asked questions

Some countries require at least six months validity on your passport to enter. Always visit the official government website of the country you’re travelling to check before you book your flight. If you hold a valid Emirates ID and are travelling back to the UAE, you will be allowed entry as long as you hold a valid passport.
