Things to know before you fly to Los Angeles
Transfers from the airport
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is around 20 miles outside the city. Pre-book your transfer with Etihad and your driver will be waiting when you land to get you where you need to go. Alternatively, car rental companies have outlets at the airport. Shuttle buses also pick up from all terminals and offer frequent services connecting to Downtown and Hollywood.

Getting around Los Angeles
Renting a car is convenient – just be careful where you park, especially on side streets. Alternatively, take a taxi or rent a scooter. Big Blue Buses run past Santa Monica, Dash buses loop around various neighbourhoods and there’s also an underground rail network which is cheap and extensive – use TAP cards to top up credit.
