Young Economy Class guests aged 12 to 16 are exempt from Air Passenger Duty (APD) when travelling from the United Kingdom.
If you made a booking on etihad.com and were charged the APD tax, you’re entitled to a full refund provided you meet the eligibility requirements listed below:
Simply send us an email at APDtaxrefund@etihad.ae with the booking reference or ticket number and clear passport copy.

If you are a Maldivian national / Maldives passport holder and have paid the full USD $30, you’re entitled to apply for a refund of the difference (USD $18).
You may have noticed that guests booking flights to the Philippines on our website, are charged the Passenger Service Charge. However, if you have one of the valid documents listed below, you are eligible for a full refund.
1. Overseas employment certificate (OEC): A document issued by the POEA certifying bearer as a legitimate Overseas Filipino Worker exempt from Passenger Service Charge, as defined under Article I, Section 7.
2. Balik manggagawa: A photocopy of one or more of the following documents - Valid work Visa / work permit, valid employment contract, current employment certificate, valid company ID, recent pay slip.
3. MIAA exemption certificate: A document issued by the MIAA certifying bearer as a legitimate exempted passenger under MIAA Administrative Order No. 01 Series of 2000.
To apply for a refund, simply send us an email at APDtaxrefund@etihad.ae with the booking reference or ticket number, contact details (mobile and email address) along with a copy of one of the documents listed above.
Following a directive by The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) will no longer be required to pay Passenger Service Charge (LI) tax when departing from Manila.
If you made a booking on etihad.com and were charged the LI tax, you are entitled to a full refund provided you qualify as an OFW. To get a refund, go to the Manila government office located at the airport, with the following exemption certificates with you:
1. Overseas employment certificate (OEC) issued by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) clarifying bearer is an OFW. 2. Balik manggagawa – Photocopy of any of the following valid documents:

Indian Goods and Service Tax (K3) tax will be refunded provided the ticket refund request is made within the cut off dates for the financial year. Financial year is on/after 01April of a given year to on/before 31March of the following year. Refund cut off will be 31August of the same year as the end of the Financial Year in March. This is applicable for involuntary refunds and refunds to Travel Bank as well.
E.g.: For tickets issued during the financial year 01 April 2019 - 31 March 2020, K3 tax refund will be allowed till 31 Aug 2020. Post this date, K3 will be retained by the system while processing refunds.
Please note:
