Cancellations and refunds
Need to cancel your flight? Find out whether you’re entitled to a refund, understand how to request a refund with Etihad Airways, or get advice about making a claim.
If you booked with Etihad Airways using a credit card, enter your booking reference below to check whether you’re eligible for a refund. Otherwise, call us or your travel agent for more information. Your refund amount depends on your fare type and whether you’ve flown any part of your journey. Fees and charges may apply. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all direct bookings with Etihad Airways.

You can request a refund up to four hours before your flight, otherwise a no-show fee will be applied. If you’re eligible, find out how to request a refund below or in our modification guide.
The quickest way to request a refund is to visit etihad.com/manage. Enter your flight details then select "Cancel/ refund" to start.

If you booked your flight with a travel agent or other third party, we recommend speaking to them to request a refund.
Etihad Credit is a great alternative to requesting a refund. We’ll simply convert the cost of your flight into credit which you can use to pay for flights or extras with Etihad Airways in the future.
In the unfortunate event we have to cancel or change your flight, we’ll email you to let you know what your options are next. You’ll also receive a notification in Manage your booking and via the app. Make sure your email address is up to date at etihad.com/manage.
Refunds will be credited to your original form of payment. If you paid by credit or debit card, you should receive your refund within 21 days. For all other payment types, refunds may take up to 45 business days to be processed. If you haven’t received your refund in 45 business days, first contact your bank. If you don’t receive your refund after that, or the card you used to pay for your flight has expired, please get in touch.
