The main airport in Sri Lanka is Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s located around 20 miles (32 kilometres) from Colombo on the west coast of Sri Lanka and there are bus and taxi services available to transfer you to the city. A 10-day festival featuring dancers, musicians and fire breathers is held in July or August each year as visitors flock to the city from across the world.
