Celebrate Ramadan with Etihad

The meaning of Ramadan

Ramadan is observed by millions of Muslims around the world and commemorates the first revelation of the Quran. The ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, the month of fasting begins at the sighting of the crescent moon, which started on 23 March this year.

One of the five pillars of Islam, Ramadan is a special celebration of the Muslim faith. As well as a time for self-reflection and peace, Ramadan is a time to give back and give thanks; to show kindness, compassion and generosity, forgiveness, and love. Those principles are more important than ever before.
