Need to cancel your flight? Check your refund eligibility with Etihad Airways.

Am I eligible for a refund?

  1. If you booked with Etihad Airways using a credit card, enter your booking reference below to check whether you’re eligible for a refund. Otherwise, call us or your travel agent for more information.  
  2. Your refund amount depends on your fare type and whether you’ve flown any part of your journey. Fees and charges may apply. 
  3. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all direct bookings with Etihad Airways.

When will I receive my refund?

  1. Credit card/debit card refunds: within 21 days
  2. Other payment methods: up to 45 business days

Flight Changes and Cancellations

We'll let you know if your flight is canceled or changed.
You'll receive an email and notification in your registered email address.

Etihad Chauffeur

We'll rebook your flight if

  1. Departure time is changed by 30 minutes or more
  2. Arrival is delayed by over an hour
  3. You miss a connecting flight
  4. You're downgraded to a lower cabin

We will email you with options. You can,

  1. Accept the change
  2. Choose a new flight
  3. Request a refund
Worldwide transfers

Choose a new flight if

  1. You don't like the new flight times
  2. You want a flight within 7 days of your original departure date
  3. You rebook within 60 days of the notification (fare rules may apply after 60 days)
Frequently asked questions

You can request Etihad Credit subject to the fare rules of your ticket. Etihad Credit can be used to pay for flights and extras – like seats and bags – with Etihad Airways.

  1. If you haven’t received your refund in 45 business days, first contact your bank. If you don’t receive your refund after that, please call us

  1. We’ll simply credit the amount back to your Etihad Credit account. The validity of your original voucher will apply.
