After landing at the award-winning Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), you’ll soon be downtown – with connections including the shuttle service and trains. The airport metro station connects to trains heading to the city centre or you can hop on a bus from 6am to midnight daily. Alternatively, book a taxi or an airport transfer with Etihad.

Singapore’s underground metro system (MRT) is ideal for reaching most places of interest. Buses are similarly efficient, but the MRT is simpler for tourists. The trains can be busy during rush hours, so plan ahead.

Food is a huge part of life in Singapore, with the myriad cultures and nationalities here making for a diverse mix of cuisines. Hawker centres are hugely popular with locals and are tourist-friendly too – try Newton Food Centre and Lau Pa Sat.
