Visit Jebel Hafeet mountain 

For a truly spectacular experience, head out on a tour to the looming and extraordinary mountain of Jebel Hafeet, around 16 miles outside of Al Ain.  

Rising approximately 4,000 feet above sea level, this famous landmark offers superb views over the surrounding landscape. 

The mountain also helps visitors gain an insight into local history, with more than 500 tombs having been discovered in its foothills over the past hundred years.

Local currency

The local currency in Al Ain is the UAE dirham (AED). Many places will accept cards, but it is a good idea to carry some cash too.

Getting around

The official language of the UAE is Arabic. Many locals also speak good English – as do many people working at local hotels and attractions.
