Chiang Mai has a temperate climate with warm conditions for much of the year.

May to August sees the highest temperatures, with average daytime conditions reaching the mid 30°Cs.

Rainfall is also frequent during this period, though the wet season runs from June to October.

The dry season lasts from December to late March, with temperatures in the high 20°Cs and considerably lower rainfall.
