Infants
2 to 11 years
12+ years

Infants are aged seven days to 23 months. Every infant must be accompanied by an adult. This also applies to twins. If you do not have an approved car seat, they must sit on your lap during take-off and landing, and whenever the seatbelt sign is on.

Baggage and pushchairs

Checked baggage to/from USA and Canada: 23kg (Excludes Basic fare)
Checked baggage to/from all other destinations: 10kg (Excludes Basic fare)
Cabin baggage: One piece, 5kg
You can carry one pushchair, carrycot or car seat for free
Complimentary strollers are available in Abu Dhabi airport

Bassinets

Babies must weigh less than 11kg, be up to 75cm tall, and fit comfortably in the bassinet.
Requests for bassinet are subject to availability.

Seats and car seats

Infants don’t require their own seat, but an infant seat can be purchased.
During take-off, landing and when seatbelt signs are on, infants in purchased seats must sit in a car seat or on your lap.
Children up to 36 months travelling on a child’s ticket may use an approved car seat on board.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, you can travel with more than one child as long as they are aged two years or older. If you’re travelling with more than one infant under two, every infant must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

You’re welcome to breastfeed on board, and you may wish to bring a muslin or scarf to cover up whilst you do so. Blankets, where available, can be requested from our cabin crew for additional privacy.
