The amount you pay for extra baggage depends on where you are flying to and from. For some destinations, extra baggage is charged per 5kg, and for other destinations it is charged per bag.
You’ll save up to 65% if you buy your extra baggage up to 30 hours before you fly.

If your items are larger than our maximum dimensions, you'll be charged an oversized baggage fee of US $100 each way. Any items weighing more than 32kg or longer than 300cm will not be accepted.
Bikes, scuba diving equipment, skis, poles, ski boots, surfboards and golf bags are exempt from oversized baggage fees and can be included as part of your baggage allowance.
Canoes, kayaks, vaulting poles and similar items are not permitted to be carried as checked baggage and must be transported as cargo. Visit etihadcargo.com/help for more information.
You will be charged an oversized baggage fee if the TV dimensions are 40 inches or above for flights to or from all our destinations. Due to restricted airport facilities, we will be unable to accept any televisions over 42 inches from Dammam Airport.

Enjoy 10% additional discount on excess baggage purchase (available up to 30 hours before your departure), as part of your custom tier benefits. There is no limit on the number or weight of excess baggage that you can purchase.
Enjoy 15 Kg additional baggage allowance (excludes flights to the US and Canada), and on flights to the US/Canada, one additional bag weighing up to 23kg in Economy Class, or up to 32kg in Business or First Class. If you are flying from Russia, only Russian bank cards are accepted at the airport. (No cash or international cards.) Please visit Manage your booking or phone the Contact Centre to purchase extra baggage with international bank cards.
If your journey involves more than one airline, any extra baggage charges will be determined by whichever airline is the Most Significant Carrier (MSC) – this is usually the airline operating the longest part of the journey, as defined by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Our agents will be able to share the extra baggage fees with you when you check in.
When you've booked your extra baggage, you'll receive a voucher based on weight, number of items or a combination of both. Make sure to keep it handy and present it when you check in at the airport.
Extra baggage is subject to availability. If your bags can't be transported on your flight, we will load them onto the next available service.
You can add the extra weight to your existing bag or carry a separate bag – the choice is yours. This does not apply if you're traveling to the US or Canada.
Remember, the maximum weight of any one item from/to any country, including the US and Canada, must not weigh more than 32kg.
