Sourcing & Procurement

The Etihad Airways Sourcing & Procurement (S&P) team is responsible for sourcing and managing goods and services for our organisation. This includes things like aircraft fuel, airport and ground handling services, IT contracts and properties and facilities services. If you’re interested in working with us, simply register now.

Important changes to our procurement system

We recently implemented a new system, SAP Ariba, to manage sourcing, contracting and procurement processes for both materials and services. Thanks to its collaborative online platform, Ariba Network, SAP Ariba makes working together even simpler. It's helped us to significantly improve the efficiency of our key processes, and we're confident that you'll notice its benefits straight away:

  • Lower overall processing costs
  • Greater visibility of invoices and payment costs
  • Reduced Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)

We're committed to working closely with our suppliers to continue to improve the efficiency and consistency of our procurement and business processes. We realise that this new process represents a change for our suppliers, so we're doing everything we can to make this transition as easy and smooth as possible.

If you need any support at all, please get in touch by emailing FinanceMasterData@etihad.ae and we'll be happy to help.

We thank you in advance for your support.

Al Watani | Building a stronger local sourcing community

Nearly 30% of Etihad Aviation Group’s global supply chain is driven by UAE-based businesses. As a major contributor to the UAE’s economy, Etihad is actively growing and accelerating its local spend. With the launch of Al Watani as our Sourcing & Procurement local content programme, we deliver on our commitment to the development and sustainability of businesses and communities in the UAE.

Through this programme, the Group will deepen its partnership and support to companies providing goods and services within the country.

Companies must be certified as Al Watani partners in order to benefit from the initiative. Following their application and fulfilment of the below criteria at a minimum, suppliers will receive a Diamond or Gold partner certificate:

  • UAE-based operations or UAE-national owned companies with international presence
  • Active employees with valid residence visas
  • Local UAE banking relationship
  • Operational for a minimum of 24 months

Once approved and certified, partners participating in competitive tenders will receive a technical score for fulfilling the Al Watani criteria. The certification will be valid for a period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

For more information on how to become a certified Al Watani partner, please contact alwatani@etihad.ae.
