As part of our Rising together at 50 initiative, our incredible hosts, warmly welcomed three special guests to the UAE, honoring the past, treasuring the present, and celebrating the exciting future that awaits.
Combining Emirati hospitality with her signature passion for speed, Amna Al Qubaisi, the UAE’s first female Emirati racer, welcomed the UK’s leading automotive YouTuber, Sam Fane, to Abu Dhabi. From the bespoke racing gear and a customised racing car to the friendly contest with Amna herself, Sam thoroughly enjoyed the unforgettable experience.
Hospitality, like poetry, is best when it comes from the heart. ‘Beity, Away from Home’ is a medley of poetry and music that Emirati slam poet, Salem Al Attas, envisioned to welcome his musician friend, Karl Wolf. Returning to the country of his childhood home, Karl Wolf is touched by the warmth of his host’s hospitality and enjoys the openness of the UAE once again.
Emirati luxury abaya designer Hessa Falasi teams up with Indian couturier and costume designer, Manish Malhotra, to create a new concept in fashion – the Abaya Saree. Brought together by Etihad as part of the 50th year celebrations, watch Hessa hosting Manish in her studio as they conceived, conceptualised, and created this avant-garde fashion masterpiece.
